The Best CBD Crystals: Our Picks

Guide: Questions you should ask yourself before buying CBD crystals

What is CBD?

CBD is one of many plant compounds found in the cannabis plant. CBD is therefore one of the 113 cannabinoids in total. Unlike THC, which also belongs to the cannabinoids, CBD has no psychoactive effect. In other words, the substance does not have an intoxicating effect and therefore does not provide the well-known "high" effect.

Therefore, the active ingredient is often misinterpreted. Countless studies have already proven the positive effects of CBD. CBD has become a hot topic in recent years because, on the one hand, the market offers a constantly growing supply of the substance and, on the other hand, researchers all over the world are busy thoroughly investigating the active ingredient.

A large number of studies have already been published confirming the positive effect on health. Nevertheless, CBD is still perceived by some people as drug use, as the substance is a component of the hemp plant. What many people do not know, however, is that there are both a multitude of hemp varieties and countless active substances contained in them. Thus, CBD is constantly seen in a false light because of the harmful THC.

What are CBD crystals?

CBD crystals are basically CBD in powder form. The crystals are so fine that they are comparable to icing sugar. In addition, the crystals are characterised by their extremely high purity, which is usually at least 98%. This makes them the purest form of CBD currently available.

The result is obvious; due to the high purity, a maximum effect of the positive effect on health is the consequence.

What effect does CBD have in general?

CBD is particularly known for its pain-relieving effect. In chronic pain conditions, as well as numerous diseases such as migraine, CBD can effectively reduce the sensation of pain. (1) Especially in the treatment of neuropathic pain and inflammatory pain, CBD has been proven to achieve improvements. (2) CBD crystals also have a particularly strong effect due to their high purity.

Nevertheless, one thing should be noted; the substance does not fight the cause and is therefore not considered a substitute for a medicine. However, the relief of pain causes a more positive overall feeling, so that it can be taken safely. Only in a handful of cases can the active substance aggravate the complaints.

However, this depends entirely on the individual, as every body is unique and consequently reacts somewhat differently to the substance.

Does taking CBD crystals make sense as a preventive measure?

CBD can definitely be used as a preventive measure. By taking it, the pain decreases, the general well-being increases and stress is reduced. It can also be used to combat a variety of common diseases, as these are often caused by a high stress level.

In addition, the substance is suitable as an adjunct during therapy, both for pain relief and to reduce medication, which is often accompanied by side effects.

Studies also show that CBD is an effective active ingredient that benefits the heart. Thus, the likelihood of heart attacks or strokes occurring is reduced. In a study, the effect of CBD on the development of type 1 diabetes was also investigated. It was found that taking CBD can significantly delay the development of type 1 diabetes and is thus considered a preventive measure. (3)

Are CBD crystals legal?

CBD crystals can be purchased legally in Germany without a medical certificate, as the substance itself is classified as a food supplement. Therefore, it is legal. However, the THC content must not exceed 0.2%. The substance is psychoactive and therefore classified as illegal.

Furthermore, in some countries, such as Thailand, only CBD products without any THC content are legal. There are usually no problems with CBD itself.

Nevertheless, the plant substance is considered a medicine in some countries, which is why a certificate is required. CBD crystals are also available in pure form, which is why a good powder has no traces of THC.

Are CBD crystals also suitable for children?

CBD does not have a psychoactive effect, which is why the substance can of course also be taken by children. What is important is that the product does not contain any traces of THC. CBD can also help to relieve the pain and symptoms for children with epileptic seizures or with complex movement disorders . (4, 5) In the result of a study, researchers stated that CBD treatment led to a significant reduction in the frequency of seizures in patients with Dravet syndrome. (6)

Who are CBD crystals suitable for?

CBD is known to increase general well-being and vitality, which is why the substance benefits everyone in principle. In particular, people with some diseases and pain conditions are recommended to take CBD crystals. The following list shows some diseases that can be treated with the plant substance:

  • Cancer (7)
  • HIV infection
  • Bladder spasms
  • Asthma
  • Inflammation (8)
  • Headaches, especially migraines (1)
  • Epilepsy (9)
  • Multiple sclerosis (10, 11)
  • Improving the quality of life in Parkinson's disease (12)
  • Chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis (13)

Buying criteria: You can use these factors to compare and evaluate CBD crystals

In summary, these are:

  • Purity
  • Quantity

In the following, we would like to show you which factors you can use to compare and evaluate CBD crystals. It will be easier for you to decide whether a certain CBD crystal is suitable for you or not.

Purity

The purity provides information about how high the proportion of cannabidiol is in relation to the total amount. If the purpose of use is to relieve pain or to counteract diseases, the highest possible purity makes sense. In principle, the higher the proportion of CBD, the greater the effect.

Particularly inferior products that have a relatively low purity are accompanied by harmful by-products. For this reason, too, high-quality products are a must. Top products often have a purity of over 99% and do not contain any by-products. Therefore, it makes sense to purchase CBD crystals only from reputable dealers.

Quantity

The quantity is especially important for long-term use. In the case of severe illnesses and chronic pain conditions, CBD crystals are useful over a period of several months. Therefore, the larger the quantity, the longer the pain can be treated.

If you want to try CBD crystals first, a small amount of, for example, 100 g is sufficient.

Facts worth knowing about CBD crystals

CBD is a hot topic that is being talked about more and more in the media. The fact that CBD is steadily gaining importance in medical circles speaks for its high value for health.

Numerous diseases can be treated with it, as studies have meanwhile proven. CBD crystals also offer extremely high purity, which makes them particularly effective. In the following, I will go into some unanswered questions that you have probably already asked yourself while reading this article.

What is the historical background of CBD?

CBD is a main component of the hemp plant, which was already an integral part of many people's lives over 10,000 years ago. Textiles were made with hemp fibre and the plant was used for medicinal purposes. The first paper in human history was made around 2,800 years before Christ and was also made of hemp fibres.

In the course of time, it was also used to produce sailcloth, ropes and much more. It was not until the beginning of the 19th century, when the French Empire established a continental blockade, that hemp lost considerable importance. It was replaced by cotton as a textile supplier and the trade in hemp was subsequently prohibited. Until a few decades ago, hemp was simply considered a drug, used only by junkies and broken personalities as an intoxicating agent.

But already towards the end of the 20th century, the plant became increasingly important. Doctors from all over the world investigated hemp, resulting in countless studies. Experts now agree that hemp itself has been considerably underestimated.

The intoxicating effect is due to THC, which is only one of countless substances contained in hemp. There are also a number of extremely health-promoting plant substances, such as CBD.

How can CBD crystals be consumed?

CBD crystals can be used in many different ways. In addition to direct ingestion via the tongue, where the active ingredient is then ingested via the oral mucosa, there are also a number of other possibilities. CBD crystals can, for example, be used in a vaporizer and then vaporised.

Another possibility is to dissolve them in drinks, as is the case with effervescent tablets. For the consumption of food, on the other hand, there is the option of mixing the crystals with butter or oils. However, the combination of drinks or food supplements does not unfold the full effect.

The reason for this is the fact that the substance loses its strength in the digestive system. When taken orally or via vaporisation, the active ingredient unfolds its substance in an extremely short time. However, it should be noted that the effect only lasts for a short time.

Therefore, one should not expect more than one hour. Experts recommend a dosage of 5 to 25 mg per day. If there is no noticeable effect after some time, it makes sense to increase the dose. It is important that newcomers start with a relatively low dose, as the body first has to get used to the substance.

How are CBD crystals produced?

CBD is usually extracted from the hemp plant using three different methods:

  • Solvent extraction
  • Oil extraction
  • CO2 extraction

CO2 extraction is the most expensive and complex of the three processes. However, it can achieve an extremely high purity, which is particularly important for CBD crystals. With the other methods, however, residues can remain.
