Harnesses can also be sectored by class, and each one corresponds to a certain level of safety, therefore, depending on the risk present in the work you are going to do, you will have to choose a specific class.

Class 1: These harnesses are normally seen as a belt, since their grip is positioned there. They do not wrap around the body completely like other harnesses. They are responsible for positioning and suspending the worker in the sector where the repair or construction is to be carried out. They do not support falls of more than one metre in height.

Class 2: These harnesses are designed to protect the worker in case of slipping, so they are only recommended for jobs that are wet or underground. They have the largest suspension point at the chest.

Class 3: This class of harness is the full body harness, providing the most safety of all. They are used for work at very high heights, which carries a severe risk. It withstands heavy vertical falls.

Size

Finally, it is important that you know the size of the harness you are going to buy, as it must fit your body correctly, since if it is too tight it can cause discomfort while you work, while if it is too loose, it is automatically a risk. Keep in mind that sizes may vary according to the brand.

Size S: This is the smallest of all sizes in terms of adults, so it is intended for slim women or men. Remember that, even when they come in one size, they can be adjusted to fit you completely. Their measurements in the waist area are usually from 67 cm to 77 cm.

Size M: This size is the average among all sizes, it is usually for people who are moderately corpulent, either because they have a strong musculature or prominent attributes. However, it does not qualify for people with a lot of weight. Waist measurements are 73 cm to 85 cm.

Size L: This is the largest size of all, and is usually used for people with a thick build, but not overweight, since, as it involves working at heights, this type of person cannot use the harness. Waist measurements are from 80 cm to 92 cm
