In various studies, it has been proven that inositol has led to an improved quality of the eggs in the test persons after five to six months of taking the substance and that an increased volume of the ovaries could also be significantly reduced.
Many women who tested inositol also reported that they had more regular periods and less pain.
Another aspect is that inositol also reduces insulin resistance, a common side effect of PCO, which is also important for diabetics.
Inositol for sleep disorders, panic attacks and depression

In the cell membrane itself, inositol anchors the proteins and ensures the regulation of the calcium and sodium flow through the cell walls.
Furthermore, myo-inositol is responsible for the regulation of fat metabolism as well as fat excretion by the liver.
In the brain and nerve fibres, the substance plays an important role in the transmission of nerve impulses. As already mentioned, inositol also has a relaxing effect, which can help you fall asleep.
Myo-inositol is also found in larger quantities in the testicles, as it is needed for the production and maturation of sperm.
A deficiency of this substance could lead to hair loss, growth disorders or even fatty liver, among other things, as has already been proven in animal studies.
How is inositol dosed and taken?
For D-Chiro-Inositol, a lower dosage is sufficient. In studies, subjects were given between 100 mg and over 1000 mg daily. Here, however, the actual optimum would already be a daily dose of 200 mg to 500 mg.

For women who want to have children, it is also recommended to take alpha-lipoic acid, antioxidants and a vitamin complex with folic acid.

How long should inositol be taken?
