It plays an important role in the function and structure of mucous membranes, promotes growth, is involved in the production of white blood cells and strengthens the visual process as well as the metabolism. Vitamin A affects the following functions of our body:

  • Vision: Vitamin A plays an important role in vision. When light falls into the eye, vitamin A is needed to convert the energy of the light into nerve impulses. Vitamin A, especially the compound retinal, is also needed for the regeneration of pigment cells. After a study on animals, it was found that ritonal acts as a key component in the visual process.   • Cardiac arrhythmias: Arteriosclerosis a heart disease in which the coronary arteries narrow, causing symptoms such as arrhythmia or shortness of breath. What are the side effects of vitamin A tablets?

In general, no further side effects should arise from vitamin A tablets if the correct dosage is taken.
