How do I use corn oil for cosmetic purposes?
Maize germ oil is often used in skin care products for oily facial skin, leaving the skin smooth, clear and supple. Care products with corn germ oil help to absorb excess oil and dirt. In combination with other oils, it is also a good option for moisturising dry skin.
Corn oil has been used by women since ancient times for hair and facial care. The polyunsaturated fatty acids resemble skin oils and work best when the oil is applied to damp skin. The oil forms an emulsion together with the water and can thus penetrate the skin much more easily, filling wrinkles and smoothing the skin.
In cold weather, a few drops of corn oil can help protect the facial skin. Another option is to use it as an exfoliant by mixing the oil with sea salt or brown sugar, rubbing it into the skin and washing it off after a short time.
