The best Women's Perfume: Our Picks
On the market, there are hundreds of fragrances, dozens of brands, a plethora of women's perfume options. Although the choice of perfume is something very personal, we have selected four options that are among the most delicious fragrances in the world!
A perfume is always a pleasant purchase or gift. Now that you know some incredible options, let's talk a little more about this very special product.
Women's Perfume: What are its advantages?
Although the prices are not so low, it is a delight to be able to choose which fragrance suits your way of being, and wear it every day, always having the option of using more than one perfume, as long as you feel represented by all of them.
Besides, always smelling good gives you that clean feeling of someone who has just come out of the shower, and it's a great way to make a good impression.
What is the correct way to use perfume?
- Do not mix aromas. Before anything, it is important that you do not mix aromas. Prioritise the use of perfume after the bath, when your body is still clean. Never, under any circumstances, mix it with sweat, because the smell will be very unpleasant.
- Do not exaggerate on the quantity. This is also very important, not only to avoid waste, but also because too strong a smell may not be nice. Two or three sprays will solve the problem.
- Choose well the place of application. Regions with greater blood circulation, such as neck and wrist, absorb the smell more easily, so they are the most suitable.
What is the best type of perfume for your skin type?
People with oily skin, for example, should prioritize citrus or floral perfumes, which have softer fragrances. This is because oil is an excellent fixative and ends up intensifying the scents.
A very strong and striking perfume on oily skin can be exaggerated and even nauseating, so it should not be your first option, right?
But for those who have dry skin, the situation is opposite. The dryness hinders the fixation, and that's why the ideal is that those who have this kind of skin opt for stronger and more appealing perfumes, such as woody or sweet scents.
But if you have normal skin, then you will be free to choose only according to the scent you like the most! Great, right?
|Oily skin||Dry skin||Normal skin|
|Ideal perfume||Softer perfumes, like floral and citrus scents||Stronger perfumes, like woody and sugary scents||All work well|
Purchase criteria: Factors to compare different perfumes
Before choosing your perfume, it is good that you observe some details that can make all the difference at the time of use, such as:
- Bottle size
- Type of aroma
Now let's talk a little bit about each of these topics, so that you understand their importance in your choice.
Usually, perfumes from big brands do not disappoint in the fixation aspect, but it is always good that you keep an eye on it. An interesting trick, is to observe what is written on the packaging. "Parfum" are those with higher concentration of aroma, and consequently, greater fixation, which can reach up to 12 hours.
Eau de Parfum also has good fixation, and keeps the smell for up to 10 hours on the body. Eau de Toilette, Eau de Fraiche and Eau de Cologne, on the other hand, are the weakest, and last for far fewer hours.
The Eau de Cologne, especially, is the one with less fixation, which should not go beyond four hours, and often does not even have alcohol in its composition. Always be aware of this issue, so that you do not end up spending money on a perfume that will not last long on the skin, you know?
You will hardly find a very big perfume bottle, you know? But even so, they usually work well if you use them with moderation. As we said, two sprays at a time are necessary to leave a pleasant smell.
There are 50 ml bottles, as well as 150 ml bottles, which, obviously, are much more expensive. The important thing is to put on paper the cost benefit of each one to make the right decision. After all, you can't fool around with money, right?
Type of aroma
To choose the type of aroma of your perfume, first you need to know your taste. And then, your skin type (as we have already talked about in the previous topic). If you have a more delicate style and like freshness, citric and floral scents are ideal for you.
But if you love strong, sensual and striking scents, you're probably on the team of woody and sweet scents, which usually draw more attention.
The design does not influence the scent of your perfume, but it is quite fun to analyse the different bottles, because some are really beautiful and awarded for it.
So, if you like to buy different perfumes and decorate your bathroom with them, the design can be a very important issue to be observed.
